A Sermon on Using our Salvation
Hebrews 2:1-4 (NIV)
We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.
2Â For since the message spoken through angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment,
3Â how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him.
4Â God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.
1. The Offer of Salvation - The Greatness of our Gift

2. The Neglect of Salvation - the Slowness of our Drift

Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.

3. The Application of Salvation - The Fullness of our Shift
Hebrews 2:1 Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.
1 Peter 2:9-10 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
