This is a very important first step that starts the End-Time period and sets in motion a series of events that culminates with the New Jerusalem and the Eternal State.

He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.”
You boast, “We have entered into a covenant with death, with the realm of the dead we have made an agreement. When an overwhelming scourge sweeps by, it cannot touch us, for we have made a lie our refuge and falsehood our hiding place.”
1.0 Future Position of the Treaty
When is this treaty to happen?First is the rapture of the church. Then a period of unspecified duration. Then the treaty will be reached which will spark off the last week of Daniel’s 70 weeks. Dan 9:27; Is 28:15.
2.0 Conditions for the Treaty
For this treaty to take place, naturally, there needs to be the existence of both parties that are a part of this treaty.
after these prophecies were written, it was unthinkable to think that this treaty would take place, since neither of the two parties was in existence! Who are the two groups that need to exist for this to happen? Israel and the (leader of the) 10 kingdom federation.
2.1 Formation of Israel.
This happened in 1948 AD. The Rebirth of Israel, the “fig tree” buds.Matthew 24:32-34 32
“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. 34 Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
For almost two thousand years, from AD 70 to AD 1948 Israel did not exist as a nation. But then, within our generation, against the odds, Israel was formed as a nation, bringing a major piece of the End Time Prophecy into fulfillment.
2.2 Formation of the 10-kingdom federation.
The Roman Empire that was seen in Daniel 2, 7 ceased to exist. However, in the End Times, this Empire will revive.
Daniel 2:40-43 40 Finally, there will be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron—for iron breaks and smashes everything—and as iron breaks things to pieces, so it will crush and break all the others. 41 Just as you saw that the feet and toes were partly of baked clay and partly of iron, so this will be a divided kingdom; yet it will have some of the strength of iron in it, even as you saw iron mixed with clay. 42 As the toes were partly iron and partly clay, so this kingdom will be partly strong and partly brittle. 43 And just as you saw the iron mixed with baked clay, so the people will be a mixture and will not remain united, any more than iron mixes with clay.
3.0 Divisions of the treaty
3.1 The first 3 ½ years
This treaty will be honored.
3.2 The Inter-half Period
During this time two events will take place:
a. Satan will be thrown to the earth and the resulting formation of the Satanic Trinity.
Rev. 12:7-9 7 Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9 The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
b. Image of the beast will be set up. Sacrifices will be stopped in Jerusalem. Daniel 9:27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.”
3.3 The second 3 ½ years
The treaty will not be honored. The beast will torture Israel. Rev 20:4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Rev 13:15 The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.

The time period of the treaty will end with the battle between the Lord and Satan – the battle at Armageddon. – Rev 14:14-20; 16:16; 19:11-21
