Anush John was born and raised in the cosmopolitan city of Bangalore, India. The second of three boys, he was born into a pastor’s home and grew up in a household devoted to ministry. At age 10, he gave his first sermon, and from that point he continued to pursue opportunities to teach and study the Bible. Anush completed his education and practiced in Bangalore, until he married and moved to the US in 2003. During these years he also worked at Christian Medical College and Hospital in Vellore, which shaped his future professional interests and obtained a Masters in Divinity from Asian Institute of Theology, which refined his spiritual interests.
Post relocation to the United States, Anush went on to medical school in Kansas City, Missouri and pursued a career in Maxillofacial surgery. During medical school he also completed a Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary, California focusing on Leadership and Evangelism. He is currently working towards a Master of Theology degree in Christian Apologetics from Liberty University, in Virginia, USA.
During medical school and residency, he had the privilege of attending and being part of the teaching team at Liberty Christian Fellowship located in the Kansas City area. These years challenged, stretched, and enforced his passion for preaching and using his spiritual gifts. He is currently in private practice in the Maryland region where he resides with his family and is part of the teaching team at Downtown Hope, Annapolis, Maryland, and Grace Fellowship Church, Timonium, Maryland, USA.
His sermon podcasts have been downloaded in 65 countries (so far) and radio broadcasts go every weekend to West, Central, and South Africa, the Middle East, and Eastern Asia. He is also the author of the book, The Jesus Conversations, published in 2016.
He enjoys taking photographs and cooking various ethnic cuisines in his spare time.
